“I Feared For My Life”: Ex-Assistant Details Diddy Sexual Assault Claims

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ former personal assistant has testified about alleged Diddy sexual assault incidents during his federal racketeering and sex trafficking trial. The former assistant, identified only as “Mia,” described feeling “terrified and confused and ashamed and scared” throughout her eight-year employment with the music mogul from 2009 to 2017.

During her testimony, Mia detailed multiple instances of alleged abuse and sexual assault by Diddy, including an incident on his 40th birthday at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. According to her statements, the work environment was “chaotic” and “toxic,” with Combs allegedly exhibiting violent behavior such as throwing objects at her, including a spaghetti bowl and a computer. Furthermore, she claimed she was often required to stay at Combs’s homes where she could not lock her door or leave without his permission. Following her employment, Mia received a $400,000 settlement for unpaid overtime, severance, and bonuses, while suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of her alleged experiences.

Ex-Assistant Recounts Years of Alleged Abuse by Diddy

Mia’s testimony revealed disturbing details about alleged sexual assaults by Diddy throughout her employment. She testified that the first assault occurred shortly after she began working for him, during his 40th birthday celebration in 2009, when he allegedly kissed her and put his hand up her dress after giving her vodka shots. Mia testified that, in 2009 or 2010, she woke up to Combs on top of her in a bedroom at his Los Angeles home. “I was frozen. I didn’t react. I was terrified and confused and ashamed and scared,” she stated.

In another incident, Mia claimed Combs forced her to perform oral sex in a bedroom closet while she was packing his clothes. She emphasized that “there was no pattern to the assaults” and that she hoped each incident would be the last.

Mia Testifies About Witnessing Abuse of Cassie Ventura

Mia also testified about witnessing violence against R&B singer Cassie Ventura, Combs’s ex-girlfriend. She recounted seeing “bruising, black eyes, fat lips and other physical signs” of abuse. One particularly harrowing incident occurred in 2013 when Mia testified that Combs banged on Ventura’s door in Los Angeles. After gaining entry, he allegedly attacked Ventura and cut open her eyebrow by throwing her onto a bed frame. “He’s actually going to kill her,” Mia recalled thinking as she attempted to intervene by jumping on Combs’ back, only to be thrown against the wall herself. When asked why she didn’t report the abuse, Mia stated she “believed that Puff’s authority was above the police.”

Court Hears How Trauma Has Affected Mia’s Life

The trauma from years of alleged abuse has left lasting impacts on Mia’s life, as revealed during her emotional testimony in Diddy’s sexual assault trial. Mia testified that she has been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and continues to struggle with severe anxiety and depression as a direct result of her eight-year employment with Combs.

Throughout her testimony, Mia appeared visibly shaken at times, particularly when recounting specific incidents of alleged abuse. “I’ve spent years in therapy trying to process what happened,” she stated on the witness stand. “There are still nights I wake up in cold sweats, terrified.”

Mia described how the alleged trauma has affected her ability to form healthy relationships. “I find it hard to trust people now,” she testified. “I’m constantly on edge, waiting for something bad to happen.” She further explained that she struggles with maintaining professional relationships, often fearing that authority figures might abuse their power.

After leaving Combs’ employment in 2017, Mia received a $400,000 settlement for unpaid overtime, severance, and bonuses. Yet she emphasized that no amount of financial compensation could repair the psychological damage she allegedly endured. The settlement included a non-disclosure agreement, which she has since broken by testifying in court.

“I’m here today because staying silent was destroying me from the inside,” Mia told the court. “Speaking my truth is part of my healing journey, even though it means reliving these painful experiences.”

Mia Says She Testified to Stop the Cycle of Abuse

The testimony from Diddy’s former assistant paints a disturbing picture of alleged abuse spanning nearly a decade. And Mia’s explanation for not reporting the alleged abuse—believing that “Puff’s authority was above the police”—reveals the power dynamics allegedly at play. This testimony aligns with patterns commonly seen in abuse cases involving high-profile individuals, where victims feel powerless against someone with substantial wealth and influence. Abuse of power, sexual abuse or exploitation by an influential figure, is all too common in the entertainment industry and can have devastating consequences for survivors.
